On Sunday, March 9, former La Jolla High School standout Emmy Cardenas’ current college team, the Winthrop Eagles, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Western Carolina Catamounts.
The game took place at Terry Field. This was their second matchup against the Catamounts this season.
The Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at Terry Field against Longwood Lancers.
