On Friday, March 13, Wayne Hampton III, a former standout at Hoover High School, and his current college team, the Humboldt State Lumberjacks, were defeated 83-64 by the Cal State East Bay Pioneers in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The matchup tipped off at 7:30 p.m. in Pioneer Gymnasium and marked the Lumberjacks’ first game against Cal State East Bay in the tournament.
