Former St. Augustine High School player Jaden Matingou led his college team, the Point Loma Sea Lions, to a 66-57 win over the Saint Martin’s Saints in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.
The matchup, played at 5 p.m. in Pioneer Gymnasium, marked the first contest between the Sea Lions and the Saints in tournament play.
The Sea Lions are set to play their next tournament game on Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m., again at Pioneer Gymnasium.
