San Diego State University’s men’s tennis team will begin its conference schedule by hosting Air Force at the Aztec Tennis Center at noon on Sunday, March 22.

The match marks the start of Mountain West play for both teams. The Aztecs enter the contest with a 6-9 record after completing their non-conference slate. Their most recent outing was a close 4-3 loss to No. 47 Harvard, which ended a four-match winning streak.

Air Force arrives with a season record of 4-7 as they prepare for their first conference match. This meeting will be the 39th between San Diego State and Air Force, with San Diego State leading the all-time series 35-3. However, Air Force won the last matchup in 2025 by a score of 4-0.

In the recent match against Harvard, Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice and Imran Daniel Hazli each went undefeated in singles and doubles play. Together, they defeated Rohan Murali and Kolos Kincses 6-1 on court two to help secure the doubles point for San Diego State. In singles competition, Hazli beat No. 112 Benjamin Privara in the second spot while Gonzalez Fitzmaurice earned a three-set victory over Melchior Delloye on court three. William Kleege and Aleksi Lofman also contributed by winning their doubles match against Nathan Blokhin and Benjamin Privara on court one, maintaining an undefeated record of 7-0 on that court.

After Sunday’s home match against Air Force, San Diego State is scheduled to travel to UNLV for another conference matchup on March 27.
