The University of San Diego men’s golf team won the R.E. Lamkin Invitational on March 10 at San Diego Country Club, finishing with a three-round total of 26-under-par 838 to secure a two-stroke victory over Long Beach State.

Ian Maspat led USD individually, closing with a final-round score of 66 to finish sixth overall at six-under-par for the tournament. Reed Arnaldo tied for seventh at five-under-par, while Cooper Humphreys and Reid Piron also finished inside the top fifteen.
Other contributors included You Seong Choi, who tied for 52nd at six-over-par. Several players competed as individuals: Brady Clark finished in 38th place; Go Nakatsukasa and Henry Dall tied for 59th; and Charlie Gillespie placed 87th.
BYU’s Kihei Akina took medalist honors with a score of fourteen-under-par, followed by Long Beach State’s Alejandro De Castro at thirteen-under-par.
