Rep. Scott Peters, who represents California’s 50th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his legislative priorities and community engagements through a series of posts on social media.
On August 25, 2025, Peters addressed his commitment to advancing energy infrastructure policy. The following day, Peters shared insights from a healthcare visit focused on cancer treatment innovation. On August 26, 2025 he posted: “Last week, I visited @PalomarHealth and learned more about their new brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer. Peters has represented California’s 50th district since replacing Brian Bilbray in 2013. He was born in Springfield, Ohio in 1958 and currently resides in San Diego at age 64. His academic background includes a BA from Duke University (1980) and a JD from New York University (1984).
