UC San Diego women’s basketball had six players recognized with All-Big West honors, the conference announced on Mar. 10. The recognition follows the team’s achievement of earning a share of its first ever Big West regular season title.

The awards highlight the individual performances that contributed to the Tritons’ successful season. Senior Makayla Rose led the group, receiving four all-conference accolades: Big West Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, Co-Best Hustle Player, All-Big West First Team, and Big West All-Defensive Team. Junior Erin Condron was also named to the All-Big West First Team.

Three other Tritons—senior Sabrina Ma, junior Dymonique Maxie, and redshirt-junior Rosa Smith—earned All-Big West Honorable Mention. Freshman Lev Feiman was selected for the Big West All-Freshman Team.

Rose has been instrumental in UC San Diego’s performance this year, leading in minutes per game and steals per game nationally. She set program records for steals both in a season and in a single game. Condron led the team in points and rebounds while setting Division I program records for rebounds in a season as well as points and free throws made in a single game.

Ma led her team in three-point shots made and ranked among conference leaders in several categories. Maxie topped the Big West in assists and set new program marks for assists both over a season and within a single game. Smith contributed significantly with her scoring, assists, and shooting efficiency. Feiman made an impact as a freshman by scoring double figures nine times during the season.

Looking ahead, UC San Diego will enter the Big West Championship as the No. 2 seed, advancing directly to Friday’s semifinal round at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.
