Of the 49,388 people living in Cerritos city in 2020, 50.1 percent (24,751) were women and 49.9 percent (24,637) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the San Diego City Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 253. In the 65 and over age range, there were 6,403 females and 5,703 males.
