The Registrar of Voters in San Diego County is seeking temporary site managers to operate in-person voting locations for the upcoming November presidential general election. Site managers will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour.

Candidates for the role are expected to lead poll workers and represent the Registrar of Voters professionally and nonpartisanly. The ideal candidates should possess strong leadership skills, teamwork abilities, flexibility, patience, and high integrity. Previous management or poll worker experience is preferred.

Site managers are required to attend two days of paid poll worker training and an additional day of paid site manager training to understand procedures, tasks, and responsibilities. Assignments can range from four to eleven days managing operations and assisting voters, with an additional day each for setting up before Election Day and packing up afterward.

Working hours for site managers are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on assigned workdays, including weekends during the in-person voting period. On Election Day, November 5th, extended working hours will be necessary.

There is also a need for English speakers who are bilingual in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Persian or Somali. Bilingual applicants should indicate their language proficiency on their application.

Applications for the site manager positions can be found at sdvote.com. For more information, interested individuals can call (858) 565-5800 or email pollworker@sdcounty.ca.gov.
