Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones from San Diego participated in a roundtable discussion with President Donald J. Trump and various officials to discuss aid for California. The meeting focused on the Los Angeles fires, water storage, forest management, and regulatory streamlining.

Leader Jones expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage in discussions about rebuilding efforts following the LA fires. He stated, "I was grateful to join President Trump for a robust discussion about the devastating damage caused by the LA fires and how we will move forward with rebuilding."

Jones emphasized collaboration between federal and state officials as crucial for delivering necessary support to California. "On behalf of Senate Republicans and all Californians, I emphasize the importance of collaboration between the President and elected officials to deliver the urgent support our state needs—from critical disaster relief to meaningful policy changes that will help fix California and get us back on track," he said.

He also thanked President Trump for prioritizing California during his initial days in office, expressing confidence in Trump's commitment to working towards solutions for the state. I am confident he will work with us to deliver real solutions for our state," added Jones.
