Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones announces new hires for his offices

Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones has announced new appointments to fill vacancies in his Capitol and District Offices. The team now includes a District Director, Legislative Director, Legislative Aide, Executive Assistant/Scheduler, and District Representative.

"We’re excited to announce that our office is fully staffed," said Leader Jones. "Our team is dedicated to serving San Diegans and all Californians with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to our state. Their hard work ensures we continue delivering top-tier constituent services and effective representation in the State Capitol."

In the Capitol Office located in Sacramento, Jake Donahue has been appointed as the Legislative Director. Donahue is an alumnus of the University of California Santa Cruz and previously worked as a Communications Consultant for the Senate Republican Caucus.

Robert Roque steps into the role of Legislative Aide. Roque graduated from the University of California San Diego and has served as a District Representative for Leader Jones from 2019-2023, followed by his role as Executive Assistant/Scheduler from 2023-2025.

Pearl Koven joins as the Executive Assistant/Scheduler. Koven, who graduated from the University of California San Diego, interned in Leader Jones’ District Office in 2023, was an Administrative Assistant for the East County Regional Chamber of Commerce from 2023-2024, and interned at Congressman Darrell Issa’s office in 2024.

In Scripps Ranch's District Office, Nicholas Brust takes on the position of District Director. Brust is a graduate of California State University San Marcos and previously served as a District Representative in Leader Jones’ office from 2023-2025.

Juliette Castner joins as a District Representative. Castner graduated from San Diego State University and was an intern in Leader Jones’ District Office from 2024-2025.
