San Diego County News Center reported the timeline for the upcoming First Supervisorial District Special Primary Election results. Election night results will start rolling in shortly after 8 p.m., including mail ballots and early voting ballots received by Election Day. For updates, voters can check sdvote.com or the Registrar’s office on X.
Subsequent updates will contain only ballots from vote centers on Election Day, arriving after polls close at 8 p.m. As it takes time for election officials to transport and process these ballots, the final unofficial results may not be available until 10 p.m. or later. These results will cover only immediately countable ballots.
The counting process continues beyond election night to include mail and provisional ballots. New unofficial results are scheduled for release at 6 p.m. on April 10, 11, and 14, with additional updates depending on the Registrar’s office's discretion.
The election results must be certified by May 8, though certification is expected earlier while ensuring accuracy in the counting process. Final certified results will be available on sdvote.com by the deadline.
Further information on the election can be accessed through sdvote.com or by contacting the Registrar’s Office at the numbers provided.
