Deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop on State Route 125 near Jamacha Road in Spring Valley for expired registration early on March 9. During the investigation, deputies found methamphetamine in the vehicle and arrested two individuals.

According to the sheriff’s statement, Angelina Cook was found with five grams of methamphetamine and was issued a citation before being released at the scene. Raul Eguiza, a passenger, was discovered with approximately 170 grams of methamphetamine. Deputies also determined that Eguiza was on high-risk county probation and had an outstanding felony warrant. He was arrested on multiple criminal charges related to illegal narcotics and booked into San Diego Central Jail.
