UC San Diego will host Dartmouth in a nonconference women’s tennis match on Sunday, March 22, at Northview Tennis Courts. The Tritons enter the contest with a 5-9 overall record and are coming off four consecutive Big West matches.
The upcoming match provides an opportunity for UC San Diego to compete outside of conference play and improve its season record. The Tritons currently hold a 1-4 mark in Big West competition and have faced challenges at home, where their record stands at 1-4.
Dartmouth arrives with a 9-3 overall record and is on a five-match winning streak. The two teams have met twice before, with UC San Diego holding a 0-2 record against the Big Green. Their most recent meeting was on March 24, 2025, when Dartmouth narrowly defeated the Tritons, 4-3, at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.
Possible starters for UC San Diego include doubles pairs Olivia Allegre/Julia Visaya, Alisa Lansky/Allison Lian, and Hana Gamracy/Carling Allaye-Chan. In singles play, Allegre is expected to lead the lineup followed by Lansky, Allaye-Chan, Gamracy, Lian, and Kamya Nair. Team captains this season are graduate student Hana Gamracy and freshman Olivia Allegre.
The Tritons have also excelled academically. They posted a team grade point average of 3.65 during the fall quarter—the highest among all Triton programs—with senior Hana Gamracy and junior Varsha Jawadi each earning perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Looking ahead, UC San Diego will travel to Santa Clara on Tuesday before facing UC Davis on Wednesday and returning home to host Rice next Friday. Attendance at home matches is free but requires parking permits seven days per week at UC San Diego.
