Cost of college went down for all students at the FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising-San Diego

Tuition and fees fell 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at the FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising-San Diego, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $32,293 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 26 students received grants or scholarships totaling $228,430 and 28 students took out student loans totaling more than $268,335.

Including all undergraduates (66), 46 students used grants or scholarships totaling $430,080, and 49 students took out $368,578 in federal student loans.
