The University of San Diego Campus Recreation recently announced that it has partnered with Vizer to support the fight against hunger in San Diego and the rest of America.
Vizer is a social impact fitness app that rewards people for healthy habits. Members of the USD campus community are encouraged to download the free Vizer app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and create an account. When a user reaches 10,000 steps or completes a 30-min activity goa lat the Sports Center or Bosley Fitness Center, the app can be used to donate a meal to a local food bank on their behalf.
The Vizer app is currently available for download, but the Vizer beacons to track fitness activity on campus will not be available until Spring 2021.
Users and organizations are invited to contact Campus Recreation to organize Vizer competitions to see who can donate the most meals.
Visitors can find more information about the partnership and instructions on how to use the app at the Vizer x Campus Recreation webpage.
