Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones (R-San Diego) has honored Ginger Couvrette as the 2024 "Woman of the Year" for Senate District 40, alongside 10 other "Distinguished Women" of the district. Jones praised Couvrette's dedication to community betterment, stating, "From her pivotal roles in education and real estate to her extensive volunteer work and leadership positions, her contributions have truly transformed Poway."
Ginger Couvrette, a dedicated community leader and resident of Poway for 30 years, has been actively involved in various initiatives and organizations within the community. As a member of the Poway Unified School District Board, she advocated for important causes such as career technology education and homeless student services. Couvrette's impact extends beyond her professional achievements as the CEO of Halcyon Real Estate, as she has also been instrumental in the Poway Community Foundation and various advisory boards.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Couvrette stated, "To be surrounded by so many amazing ladies doing so many wonderful things for the community, I am humbled yet energized!" She also acknowledged the committee members from various community activities who contribute to making Poway a special place.

The initiative to honor outstanding women in various districts during "Women's History Month" in March has been encouraged by the Legislative Women's Caucus since 1987.
