Following this, the Board Supervisors recognized outstanding volunteers nominated by departments. The event culminated in the acknowledgment of the 2024 County Volunteers of the Year from various departments.
The County's volunteer coordinator, Samantha Lanham, and departmental coordinators were commended for their dedication to facilitating volunteer efforts within the community. The County expressed gratitude towards the volunteers, acknowledging their significant contributions to providing quality customer service and allowing funds to be allocated to other essential programs and services.
If individuals are interested in becoming volunteers, opportunities are available at various County departments and through County partners. For more information on volunteering, interested parties can visit the Clerk of the Board’s volunteer program.
