The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Red Flag Warning from 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 7. This warning is due to strong gusty winds and low humidity affecting the inland valleys and mountains of San Diego County.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service Office in San Diego have indicated that critical fire weather conditions are expected in these areas. Fires that develop could spread rapidly with extreme fire behavior, posing a threat to life and property.

Residents are advised to prepare by reviewing emergency plans and evacuation routes. It is recommended to charge phone batteries and ensure cell phones are registered with AlertSanDiego.org, which is used by first responders for notifications. During the warning period, strong winds from the Northeast to East are anticipated, with gusts reaching 35 to 40 mph in windier locations. Relative humidity levels could drop as low as 11%. Further forecast information and updates can be obtained from the National Weather Service.
