The County of San Diego Registrar of Voters received a bomb threat on Friday evening at its Kearny Mesa office. Following an investigation by sheriff’s deputies, the threat was deemed not credible, ensuring the safety of those present in the building.

"The safety of County employees and the public is a top priority," stated officials. The Sheriff's Office will continue to collaborate with law enforcement partners to monitor intelligence and information related to any potential threats. They are prepared to address any safety challenges that may arise.

The Registrar of Voters remains committed to a safe, transparent, and accurate election process. It will continue processing remaining ballots to certify election results by December 5. The full certification period will be utilized to ensure every legally cast vote is counted accurately and expeditiously. Updates will be posted on sdvote.com.
