Dozens of San Diego residents participated in a County open house event on Thursday, aimed at engaging the community in future development projects. The initiative, titled "Help Build San Diego," provided information on upcoming County projects including parks, libraries, fire stations, and roads. Attendees were encouraged to offer their feedback while enjoying the event.

For those unable to attend the open house, feedback can still be submitted through the County’s Engage Hub regarding the draft Capital and Public Works plans.

The County is also addressing other local issues. A bomb threat at the Registrar of Voters was investigated and deemed not credible. Additionally, a partnership between the County and Prebys Foundation has been formed to support local artists and ensure sustainability in art and culture.

In public health updates, nearly 2,000 individuals have shared their concerns about pollution impacts from the Tijuana River Valley. There has also been an increase in whooping cough cases reported by County Public Health.

The County has received a grant aimed at improving data reporting for traffic fatalities and $250,000 dedicated to child safety seat education programs.

For more information or to receive updates directly via email, contact the County Communications Office at communications@sdcounty.ca.gov or call 619-595-4633.
