All public offices in San Diego County, including family resource centers, library branches, and animal shelters, will be closed on Wednesday, January 1st for the New Year's holiday. Despite these closures, essential services such as law enforcement and emergency animal control response will remain operational during this period.

County parks, campgrounds, and neighborhood day-use parks will stay open throughout the year without interruption. However, some specific locations within these facilities will not be accessible on New Year's Day. Individuals interested in camping can still make reservations through the County's Online Camping Reservations webpage. It should be noted that the Department of Parks and Recreation's reservation phone line will not have staff available during the holiday.

Additionally, all County public health clinics will be closed on Wednesday. Normal business operations for all County offices are set to resume on Thursday, January 2nd.
