National University enrolls 7,735 undergrads

At National University, 86 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in La Jolla enrolled 16,930 students in fall 2018, including 7,735 in undergraduate and 9,195 in graduate programs, data shows. 42.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of California. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (34 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (26 percent).
