Rep. Scott Peters, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 50th district, recently shared his views on several pressing issues through social media posts. These tweets addressed concerns over national security and paid tribute to military veterans.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Peters called for "a full investigation and accountability" regarding a significant security breach under the Trump Administration. He criticized the sharing of top-secret war plans on an unsecured messaging app, which he believes compromised troop safety and national security integrity. "We need a full investigation and accountability for this dangerous security failure."

Later that day, Rep. Peters expressed disapproval of how some media outlets characterized the incident as minor. He found it unacceptable that individuals would downplay the risk posed by Pete Hegseth and others involved in what he described as a "reckless and illegal group chat." "This was not 'a wee bit of a security breach' as described by this Fox News reporter."

In another tweet on March 25, 2025, Rep. Peters commemorated National Medal of Honor Day by honoring Medal of Honor recipients' sacrifices and valor. He mentioned meeting with three Vietnam veterans who received the Medal of Honor to learn more about their service experiences. "On National Medal of Honor Day, we remember the sacrifices and valor of every Medal of Honor recipient."
