Rep. Scott Peters, serving California’s 50th district in Congress since 2013, shared his views and updates on Twitter, addressing issues related to gender equality, the gender wage gap, and opportunities for young artists. Peters was born in Springfield, Ohio, and currently resides in San Diego.

In a post dated March 25, 2025, Peters expressed his commitment to achieving gender equality in the workplace. He stated, "There’s no question that we must do better to ensure everyone has an equal shot at success. I’ll keep pushing to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act so women have access to quality, high-paying jobs and equal pay for equal work."

On the same day, Peters acknowledged Equal Pay Day and highlighted ongoing disparities in wages between genders. He noted, "Today marks Equal Pay Day, symbolizing how much longer women must work to earn what their male counterparts did last year. This gap is even wider for women of color and mothers, and last year, the gender wage gap widened to 75¢ on the dollar."

In a further outreach effort dated March 26, 2025, Peters encouraged participation in a congressional art initiative. He announced, "Calling all CA50 high school artists! The Congressional Art Competition deadline is only a couple weeks away. Learn more about how you or a young artist you know can apply."
