Voter information pamphlets are being distributed to over 376,000 registered voters in San Diego County's First Supervisorial District ahead of the special primary election on April 8. These pamphlets from the Registrar contain details on voting options, election deadlines, candidate statements, and include a sample ballot. Additionally, they list official ballot drop boxes and vote centers. Voters can also access this information online at sdvote.com.

Those who opted for electronic delivery of their voter information pamphlet should have received an email with the necessary details and a link to their pamphlet. Voters interested in receiving future pamphlets electronically can sign up to eliminate paper copies, receiving an email notification instead when new pamphlets are available online.

Registered voters in District 1 will receive their ballots by mail during the week of March 10. The ballot packet includes an "I Voted" sticker, voting instructions, and other relevant election information.

The elected individual will serve out the remainder of the current term ending in January 2029. If no candidate secures a majority vote on April 8, the top two candidates will proceed to a special general election on July 1. Voting is restricted to residents within District 1.

District 1 spans from the Pacific Ocean to the Otay and San Miguel mountains eastward, and from Barrio Logan northward to the U.S./Mexico border southward. It encompasses Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City, parts of San Diego including Barrio Logan and East Village among others, as well as unincorporated areas like Bonita and East Otay Mesa.

Residents unsure about residing in District 1 can verify at sdvote.com.
