San Diego shelters are inviting the community to join their spring event aiming to find pets forever homes. With the theme of a beach party, the event encourages potential adopters to wear beach attire and receive a free beach party kit.

Adoptions throughout the month allow individuals to set their own price for adult dogs and cats, while puppies and kittens have a 25% discount on adoption fees. All adoptions include basic pet care services such as spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, vaccinations, and for local residents, a one-year dog license.

Attractions include two shelters: the South Shelter located at 5821 Sweetwater Road, Bonita, and the North Shelter at 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad. Services are available Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adopters need to have a valid photo ID, and adoptions operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

The usual adoption fees are waived for animals that have been sheltered for over 30 days, senior pets aged eight or older, and seniors aged 60 and above who wish to adopt. Additionally, fostering is available for those seeking non-permanent options to assist the pets.
