On March 7, 2025, Peters commented on a discussion he attended with Senator Adam Schiff and local organizations regarding the impact of tariffs and federal funding uncertainty. He stated, "Last week, I joined @SenAdamSchiff, @SDRegionalEDC, and @WTCSanDiego for a discussion on how Trump’s tariffs and the federal funding uncertainty hurts businesses and individuals in San Diego. I’ll keep opposing these policies which will raise prices and jeopardize vital programs."

Later that same day, Peters acknowledged International Women's Day by highlighting ongoing efforts toward gender equality. We must all keep striving to empower every woman and girl with the opportunity to thrive."
