Rep. Scott Peters, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 50th district since 2013, recently shared his thoughts and activities on social media. The tweets cover a range of topics including economic policy, housing initiatives, and historical commemorations.

On March 10, 2025, Rep. Peters addressed the impact of tariffs implemented by former President Donald Trump. He stated that "Trump’s chaotic and uncertain tariffs will hurt families and businesses across the country." He cited the California Chamber of Commerce's concerns about the negative effects these tariffs could have on California's economic growth and job creation.

Later that day, he highlighted a recent visit to Market Street Village Apartments in San Diego, an initiative by Community Solutions. According to his tweet from March 10, 2025, "Team Peters recently toured @cmtysolutions' new Market Street Village Apartments." This project provides transitional housing units primarily for veterans and connects residents with supportive services.

In another tweet dated March 10, 2025, Rep. Peters reflected on his participation in commemorating the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Alabama. He expressed being moved by visiting significant historical sites: "I was especially moved by our visit to First Baptist Church." This church holds historical importance as it was where Rep. John Lewis first met Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and where Freedom Riders sought refuge during civil rights struggles.
