On Wednesday, March 19, former La Jolla Country Day High School standout Sumayah Sugapong’s current collegiate team the UC San Diego Tritons lost 68-56 against the Southern Lady Jaguars in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Pauley Pavilion, this was the first game against the Southern Lady Jaguars during the championship.

Sumayah Sugapong’s hometown is San Diego and game position is guard.
