San Diego County News Center reports that the summer and fall months in San Diego County can bring extremely high temperatures, posing a danger to both people and pets. Excessive heat can elevate body temperatures, potentially leading to heatstroke, exhaustion, dizziness, nausea, confusion, headache, and even death. Children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable.

To mitigate these risks, it is essential to take precautions to stay safe during periods of excessive heat. The County Communications Office emphasizes the importance of staying cool and hydrated during hot weather conditions.

For more information or assistance, residents can contact the County Communications Office at communications@sdcounty.ca.gov or call 619-595-4633.
