Rep. Scott Peters, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing California's 50th district since 2013, recently took to social media to share his thoughts on several pressing issues. On January 27, 2025, Peters commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day and discussed a local exhibit highlighting Holocaust survivors' stories.

On January 27, Rep. Scott Peters tweeted: "On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the millions of Jewish people and countless other innocent lives lost during the Holocaust. We must reaffirm our commitment to fighting antisemitism and hatred in all forms."

In another tweet on the same day, he described his visit to a local exhibition: "Today I toured the RUTH: Remember Us the Holocaust exhibit at the La Jolla Riford Library. It features the stories & memorabilia of holocaust survivors who are still alive today and live in San Diego. I encourage everyone to visit & learn more about the history of the Holocaust."

The following day, January 28, Peters addressed an issue concerning homeless services funding: "My office just heard from a homeless services provider in San Diego that their funding will be paused for 90 days. They help house over 1,000 people in SD and will go under if Trump's order goes through. I'll do everything in my power to stop this unconstitutional power grab."
