Rep. Scott Peters, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 50th district, shared his thoughts on various political issues through a series of tweets. Peters, who has been in office since 2013 and resides in San Diego, addressed topics ranging from economic growth to international relations and criminal justice.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Scott Peters expressed his views on economic policies reminiscent of the 1950s. He noted that Republicans often aspire to return to the economic growth experienced during that era but questioned their approach regarding tax cuts for top tax brackets: "Republicans often say they want to get back to the economic growth of the 1950s. Later that day, Peters commented on Elon Musk's handling of conflict of interest laws and financial ties with China: "Sounds like @ElonMusk has no interest in enforcing conflict of interest law. Americans deserve to understand the financial ties Elon has to the Chinese Communist Party as he dismantles USAID, which is crucial to pushing back on China’s influence and has already cost 10,000…"

On February 14, 2025, Rep. Peters praised a decision made by California's governor regarding immigration enforcement: "I applaud @CAgovernor’s decision. Convicted violent criminals should be deported."
