Scott Peters, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 50th district, has shared several statements on social media recently concerning national and local matters. Serving since 2013, Peters has expressed his views through various posts, reflecting both his political stance and personal interests.

On March 26, 2025, Peters expressed concern about the safety of troops following an unspecified event. He remarked, "So grateful our troops were not hurt. But it is amazing that the Administration continues to diminish and lie about this failure. The officials who exposed these plans must be held accountable."

The following day, on March 27, 2025, Peters transitioned to a lighter topic, celebrating the start of the baseball season. He cheered, "Happy Opening Day, San Diego! Here’s to a great season. Let’s go Padres! " expressing his enthusiasm and support for the local team.

On March 28, 2025, Peters critiqued previous national financial policies. He stated, "The Trump Administration’s deference to tax cheats could cost the US $500 billion. This dwarfs the “savings” being found by DOGE and will further increase US national debt."
