Rep. Scott Peters, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 50th district, shared a series of tweets addressing various issues related to federal programs and administrative concerns. Born in Springfield, Ohio, Peters has been a congressional representative since 2013 and resides in San Diego.

On March 23, 2025, Peters highlighted the impact of USDA programs on local agriculture. He stated that "San Diego food banks distributed over 900K pounds of food purchased from local farms through the USDA programs Trump is targeting." He emphasized that these programs are crucial for supporting farms in his district by keeping them operational and enabling upgrades.

Later that day, Peters questioned the Trump Administration's ability to safeguard personal information following a security lapse involving Trump's lawyer. He tweeted: "How can we trust the Trump Administration to keep your information safe if they can’t even keep Trump’s lawyer’s Social Security Number secure?"

The following day, on March 24, 2025, Peters shared a story about employment challenges faced by disabled veterans. In his tweet, he noted: "Unfortunately, this heartbreaking story is not an outlier. I heard from a disabled vet in my district who was fired due to 'poor performance' even though they had received high marks from their supervisor." He expressed concern over efforts to increase government efficiency at the expense of fair treatment for individuals.
