The County of San Diego is preparing to unveil its new Public Health Laboratory, with a grand opening set for Spring 2025. The facility, which represents an investment of $93 million, will feature three original art pieces as part of the building's design.

This initiative aligns with the County's policy to incorporate original artwork into new County-owned buildings. With these additions, the County Operations Center will boast a total of 39 public art pieces specifically designed for the campus.

"These three exciting additions," said a spokesperson, "enhance our commitment to integrating art into public spaces."

The inclusion of art in public buildings aims to enrich the community and enhance the aesthetic appeal of government facilities.
